Salcombe Tennis Club aims to cater for players of all ages and abilities and, whilst trying to achieve a good quality of play, the philosophy of the Club is for informality and fun to encourage as many people as possible to play.
We are a members only club, but visitors can be accommodated outside the peak holiday periods by prior arrangement with the Membership Secretary - for details please use the CONTACT US page.
Set in a beautiful location we have a small clubhouse, two excellent artificial grass courts, a practice wall and a mini-tennis court. We run successful mixed and ladies teams in the South Devon Summer Tennis League.
The club has a good social side with regular suppers throughout the winter months, and barbecues in the summer. Non-playing partners are encouraged to come along to the socials and to be a part of the club.
Social tennis is played each week throughout the year.
Please use the BOOKING COURTS page for all court bookings (the paper booking sheets are no longer used). Note that the page is password-protected by the court gate code.
Where We Are
In common with most places in Salcombe, we do not have any dedicated parking and it is probably easiest to find us on foot. The club lies off both Onslow and Bonaventure Roads with pedestrian access from both.
If approaching from Bonaventure Road, the entrance is in the unmade/part-made portion of the road about 50 yards from the Raleigh Road junction, between the development plot of land on which Cadmus used to stand, and West Garth/Vantage Point.
From Onslow Road, turn up into Bonaventure Road at Bonaventure Close, and the entrance is immediately past Vantage Point.
